Below is a link to a paper I wrote for my Sociology class. Also, one of the many reasons why I’ve been absent (as I’ve mentioned a thousand times or more). I truly apologize for being a neglectful blogger. College is just a bit much this semester, and I need to ensure that I keep on top of things to retain my GPA. In interesting news, I’ve been invited to join the honor’s society, again! I’m not sure if I’m totally interested considering my course load, but it does seem tempting in terms of fluff to put on my resume. Thoughts? I’ll be as active as I can, and when I do a project relating to my political beliefs then I will definitely share it here!

The paper is on schools providing students with contraceptives, and I have to argue against myself. At least it’s a good way to flex my cognitively complex muscles! I hope you are all well! Find me on Facebook if you miss me! 😀

My Paper.

(Totally a rough draft)

Also, this blog is amazing, and it should keep you entertained while I’m gone!

I’ve read that Google cache versions of the site are available. However, I’ve been unable to find anyone to spoon feed it to me. So, I did a little research and found them myself.

Here’s What I’ve Found:

Excerpts From Various Articles:

“But instead, EAPs are taught to always think extremely highly of themselves.  Following from the first point, when any man shows interest in her, the EAP will later tell her friends how gross and creepy she felt that this guy was coming on to her.  She feels this way because she honestly believes that the only guy worthy of even thinking of dating her is the one perfect man God has for her.  Since the guy who came on to her was imperfect, she was extremely offended:  Didn’t he know how great she is?  Didn’t he know how far out of his league she was?”

“The slut vote is of course crucially important to liberal politicians, as well as to the so-called “So-Con” politicians who are in fact the religious vanguard of the feminine imperative.  Obama’s play for the slut vote is transparent.”

“Consider the legitimate political rape of one Todd Akin, Republican candidate for US Senate from Missouri.  Akin made the factually accurate statement that it is very difficult biologically for a female to get pregnant as a result of rape, because the female body has ways of protecting itself.  However, he made the mistake of using the (again factually correct) term “legitimate rape” to describe forcible rape.”

“The obvious point being that one of the popular ways for sluts to get cash, prizes, and empathy is to engage in consensual sex with many guys, and then accuse men of raping them.  This is especially popular if the town slut ends up pregnant, and now has to engage in hamsterbatics to protect her reputation. ”

“Here  you need understand your first bit of female psychology.  Women often have a wee little furry rationalization hamster in their heads.  In the face of facts, truth, reason, or logic that point to the woman’s guilt, her little rationalization hamster will get in its hamster wheel and run as fast as it can away from reality.  But it will never get anywhere.  It’s stuck in a hamster wheel.  So she will only go in circles.”

My Thoughts:

Honestly, the further I journey into the man’s head, the more apparent it becomes to me that he’s just a cowardice man-child with low self-esteem. From the looks of it, he’s afraid to ask out the Evangelical Princess he mentions so often for fear of being turned down, called gross, or mocked behind his back. Furthermore, he’s been cheated on by his wife which must have made something snap in that little “hamster” brain of HIS. Beyond that, he seems to discredit the feelings, thoughts, and intelligence of the women around him. He even went as far to say that his wife didn’t cheat on him because she wasn’t “haaaappy” but because she’d convinced herself that she wasn’t content within their marriage after the fact. He seems to rationalize everything he does through Christianity, not realizing that it’s truly his own faults, not those of women.

Or, he showed his penis to a girl frome church and she told the entire congregation of his less than impressive manhood. After all, what secure man is so afraid of gossip?

What are your conclusions?

I’ve never really liked Taylor Swift….

I don’t have an issue with country music really as a whole. I just dislike her lyrics and the disgusting message it sends to young girls.

She’s far too fond of exploiting the Madonna-Whore Complex in her songs and videos to make herself seem superior. I’ve been battling the Madonna-Whore Complex for years now, and nothing would please me more than to see it take a permanent dirt nap.

It’s so preposterous to me that we live in such a modern age; yet, our perceptions of female sexuality are so backwards to our advancement. A woman who enjoys sex, experiments, masturbates, or doesn’t feel she needs to be married to have intercourse is not a whore. Furthermore, a virginal woman portrayed as the ideal embodiment of femininity is to say the least, disturbing.

What are we teaching our daughters, nieces, and sisters when we allow them learn from music like this?

The fact that you have a hymen does not make you better than someone who is sexually active. Your choice may be different than mine; but, a female’s value is not determined by her vagina or any other physicality.

Crap like this is okay for the doe-eyed kid we first encountered rambling on about stalking a boy named Drew, or at least something of that nature. Yet, she’s quite close to my age now, and perhaps I’m a little less forgiving. There’s a time to grow up, and I feel it’s Ms. Swift’s turn. You simply cannot live forevermore as the cliché love sick teen working through boy drama and angst in your parents’ basement.

In order to keep anything cultural, logical, or ideological, you have to reinvent the reality of it.

That’s right, because good parenting is teaching your son that women are purely sexual objects that can be bought. I am a Sex Positive Feminist, so this has nothing to do with strippers or sex workers. I respect, as well as understand the plight of the women who work in the industry. So, it’s not the career choice that bothers me, it’s the chauvinistic ideal set hammered into men and young boys that sex workers are not people. It’s not my intention to judge or damn a woman who performs sexual acts for money. It is, however, my mission to ensure that everyone is treated with the basic human decency they deserve. When you take the empathy for humanity out of a person based on anything, you’re teaching your children a very, very, very dangerous mind set. I mean, you can throw a plastic toy against the wall. Why? Because it’s plastic, and it doesn’t have feelings. You can slice a hooker from nape to navel. Why? Because she’s just a hooker, and she isn’t human. Do you see how this could go badly?

No, then an already troubled relationship was met with a temptation that it never really had the strength to resist anyway. Your significant other, instead of ending your weakened bond as he should have prior to said temptation, decided to be unfaithful. This ‘slut’ was probably innocently unaware, and even if she wasn’t, her sexual activities are none of your business. Either other way, you should be thankful that she came along. Lest you spend the rest of your life with an adulterous suitor who obviously doesn’t love you. 🙂

Ignorance is not bliss, ladies. If you’re of this opinion: how about we stop blaming the other woman, and take a long hard look at our man.

Dear Readers,

I want to save the world. I just stop sometimes, look around, and I wonder if everyone is worth saving. I don’t really want to exist in a society that feels it’s their place to call women who are comfortable with their sexuality whores. I mean, anything more than silent marital missionary warrants prostitution.

This country, which is governed by politicians who insist that rape victims cannot conceive, and even if they did: they shouldn’t have a choice in whether or not to terminate. These men and women who want to govern our bodies; yet, refuse to pay our medical bills. All while pushing to cut funding that feeds children we obviously can’t afford.

I open my eyes only to be met with an entire town rallying around men who gang-raped an eleven year old girl simply because her attire was questionable. Apparently, if you wear a miniskirt, you’re asking for it. After all, boys will be boys young miss. Your mission is to be proactive, because the only reactive support you’ll get is that you should have worn control top stockings.

A media which tells me daily that I should be ashamed of my body. How dare a woman be comfortable with her appearance when it is so far from the grossly unrealistic idealizations of predatory advertisements. Who am I to feel indifferently towards a fat roll here, stretch mark there, or scar? Shouldn’t my mild imperfections consume me? Why would any woman have sex with the lights on, or walk around the house naked when they’re so far from being flawless? When did I earn the right to feel sexy as I am?

Some days, I want to sit back and apathetically watch the world burn.

Other days, I’m too busy putting out flames and teaching fire safety to worry over how hopelessly far it has spread.
