Let’s begin this article with the universal truth that the majority of pro-life (pro-birth) organizations are psychotic, and that’s putting it respectfully. Now, in any basket of rotten eggs there’s always a few that are far smellier than the rest. Beyond that, there’s that single putrid chicken fetus that’s been shat on, eaten, converted into waste, and expelled into a pile of maggots and vomit. That egg is Nebraska’s Right to Life.

Now, I am incredibly tolerant of people whose beliefs may oppose my own.  I may not agree with your point of view, but I will never attempt to silence you or strip away your rights because of it. Equally, where I start to get a little bitchy is when you’re not showing me the same level of human dignity and respect.

Nebraska’s Right to Life according to this article, is doing just that. The organization is attempting to pass a law that would require women not only to see the face of the fetus they’re carrying, but also have photos of the fetus posted on Nebraska’s official state website. Furthermore, the ultrasound would be carried out not by a trained ultrasound tech, but someone with the training that’s at least the equivalent of a registered nurse. As the daughter of an RN, I can tell you personally that they do not have the knowledge to perform, nor read an ultrasound. Why? Because they’re nurses. There’s some knowledge that’s universal, but imaging just is not one of them.

This seems to me nothing short of bullying. What Nebraska’s Right to Life is proposing is not for the benefit nor the education of expected mothers, it’s for pushing their own agenda through public shaming. This is a technique usually reserved for criminals, not women taking advantage of their rights as American citizens.

I honestly feel as though these people belong to the type of organizations that post billboards luring in scared pregnant teens. They promise them assistance and understanding, and trap or guilt them into birthing children they cannot care for mentally nor financially. I’m not saying they do this specifically. I just get that same dirty vibe. Ya dig?

Jill June Responded:

Jill June, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, said women should have all the information they need to decide whether to have abortions.

“Such information should support a woman, help her make the best decision for herself, her family and her circumstances, and enable her to take care of her health and well-being. Information should not be provided with the intent of shaming, coercing or making a woman change her mind,” she said.

“The recent elections imparted a strong and clear message that all legislators should heed: Women’s health matters. It is not the people of Nebraska who are driving legislation that harms women’s health. Rather, it is extreme special interest groups wanting to outlaw access to safe and legal abortion,” June said. “The bottom line is that a woman, not politicians, should make informed decisions when it comes to her own pregnancy.”

I really commend Hillary Clinton for standing up against sexism within politics and the media. In a moment where most would just smile and answer kindly to avoid a scene, she actually spoke out against what she saw as inappropriate. With all the issues this country faces, your favorite brand of clothing is hardly a topic worth discussing. Good on you, Mrs. Clinton! You’re what this website is all about: speaking out, even when it’s not the easiest option to take!

I’ve read that Google cache versions of the site are available. However, I’ve been unable to find anyone to spoon feed it to me. So, I did a little research and found them myself.

Here’s What I’ve Found:

Excerpts From Various Articles:

“But instead, EAPs are taught to always think extremely highly of themselves.  Following from the first point, when any man shows interest in her, the EAP will later tell her friends how gross and creepy she felt that this guy was coming on to her.  She feels this way because she honestly believes that the only guy worthy of even thinking of dating her is the one perfect man God has for her.  Since the guy who came on to her was imperfect, she was extremely offended:  Didn’t he know how great she is?  Didn’t he know how far out of his league she was?”

“The slut vote is of course crucially important to liberal politicians, as well as to the so-called “So-Con” politicians who are in fact the religious vanguard of the feminine imperative.  Obama’s play for the slut vote is transparent.”

“Consider the legitimate political rape of one Todd Akin, Republican candidate for US Senate from Missouri.  Akin made the factually accurate statement that it is very difficult biologically for a female to get pregnant as a result of rape, because the female body has ways of protecting itself.  However, he made the mistake of using the (again factually correct) term “legitimate rape” to describe forcible rape.”

“The obvious point being that one of the popular ways for sluts to get cash, prizes, and empathy is to engage in consensual sex with many guys, and then accuse men of raping them.  This is especially popular if the town slut ends up pregnant, and now has to engage in hamsterbatics to protect her reputation. ”

“Here  you need understand your first bit of female psychology.  Women often have a wee little furry rationalization hamster in their heads.  In the face of facts, truth, reason, or logic that point to the woman’s guilt, her little rationalization hamster will get in its hamster wheel and run as fast as it can away from reality.  But it will never get anywhere.  It’s stuck in a hamster wheel.  So she will only go in circles.”

My Thoughts:

Honestly, the further I journey into the man’s head, the more apparent it becomes to me that he’s just a cowardice man-child with low self-esteem. From the looks of it, he’s afraid to ask out the Evangelical Princess he mentions so often for fear of being turned down, called gross, or mocked behind his back. Furthermore, he’s been cheated on by his wife which must have made something snap in that little “hamster” brain of HIS. Beyond that, he seems to discredit the feelings, thoughts, and intelligence of the women around him. He even went as far to say that his wife didn’t cheat on him because she wasn’t “haaaappy” but because she’d convinced herself that she wasn’t content within their marriage after the fact. He seems to rationalize everything he does through Christianity, not realizing that it’s truly his own faults, not those of women.

Or, he showed his penis to a girl frome church and she told the entire congregation of his less than impressive manhood. After all, what secure man is so afraid of gossip?

What are your conclusions?

Remember Katherine Fenton, the young woman who asked the candidates a question about the gender pay gap during Tuesday’s debate? The one who gave Barack Obama the chance to remind us that the first law he ever signed was the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, and gave Mitt Romney the chance to give us all a great meme (and also invent a story about his track record of hiring women)? Well, because that 24-year-old woman had the nerve, the audacity, to ask about gender inequality – IN PUBLIC, OUT LOUD – she’s now the target of attacks on the right.

Oh, and if you’re not outraged enough, there’s a blogger suggesting that Obama only won because of the “slut vote!”

Here’s a direct quote:

“I’ll be the first to admit it.  A couple weeks ago I predicted a Romney win.  I predicted this largely because he played up his alpha cred in the first debate.  But one photo-op on the Jersey Shore with Obama looking tough in a bomber jacket destroyed all that, which is yet another reason sane societies don’t let women get involved in government.” Get that? Women are too stupid to understand complicated political topics, but show Obama in a bomber jacket, and we all flock to the polls to wait eight hours in the rain and cold to vote for him because he’s so hunky.”

“One thing one has to remember about women, especially slutty ones:  They usually don’t make decisions based on reason.  So all the Obama administration had to do was scare them that Mitt Romney was going to take away their birth control and their access to abortion.  The fear for them is that, without birth control and abortion, they might actually get pregnant and have to give birth.  That is scary not simply because of the economic burden of having a child (since, hey, they can get all kinds of cash and prizes if that happens), but because if that happened then everyone would know they’re sluts, and their image as daddy’s pure little snowflake princess goes out the window. [The feminist world view is that] Women are pure, perfect, kind, and altruistic, and the only reason they “get into trouble” is that some evil, conniving, manipulative man tricked them into sleeping with the entire football team. Twice.”

I’ve never really liked Taylor Swift….

I don’t have an issue with country music really as a whole. I just dislike her lyrics and the disgusting message it sends to young girls.

She’s far too fond of exploiting the Madonna-Whore Complex in her songs and videos to make herself seem superior. I’ve been battling the Madonna-Whore Complex for years now, and nothing would please me more than to see it take a permanent dirt nap.

It’s so preposterous to me that we live in such a modern age; yet, our perceptions of female sexuality are so backwards to our advancement. A woman who enjoys sex, experiments, masturbates, or doesn’t feel she needs to be married to have intercourse is not a whore. Furthermore, a virginal woman portrayed as the ideal embodiment of femininity is to say the least, disturbing.

What are we teaching our daughters, nieces, and sisters when we allow them learn from music like this?

The fact that you have a hymen does not make you better than someone who is sexually active. Your choice may be different than mine; but, a female’s value is not determined by her vagina or any other physicality.

Crap like this is okay for the doe-eyed kid we first encountered rambling on about stalking a boy named Drew, or at least something of that nature. Yet, she’s quite close to my age now, and perhaps I’m a little less forgiving. There’s a time to grow up, and I feel it’s Ms. Swift’s turn. You simply cannot live forevermore as the cliché love sick teen working through boy drama and angst in your parents’ basement.

In order to keep anything cultural, logical, or ideological, you have to reinvent the reality of it.

So, the new job has been going amazingly well! I have been blessed enough to work for a wonderful woman who I happen to have a great relationship with to begin with. So, if you ever have the choice, I highly recommend it!

Anyways, what’s been going on lately? Apparently, all the news has been Paul Ryan oriented recently. The VP debates, the soup kitchen ‘incident’, and the hoards of women practically drooling over his “athletic physique” after a shirtless shot was released by TMZ. If you could see me right now, I’m shaking my head and rolling my eyes. I don’t care how physically fit you are. I will never find a man of any aesthetic significance attractive if they oppose women’s rights. I mean, that has always been deal breaker numero uno. Luckily, even while living in the south I was fortunate enough  to find a man as left as I am.

Oh, and the soup kitchen incident? Well, let’s just say that Mr. Ryan couldn’t be bothered enough to actually volunteer. Instead, he barged his way into an already closed soup kitchen against the owner’s wishes in northeast Ohio for what could only be described as a photo opportunity. He busied  himself helping the staff with many tasks, such as cleaning an already washed pan, and looking handsomely charitable in the process.  I mean, how disgusting is that? As an HUS major, part of our final semester is field placement, and we’re required to take advantage of volunteer opportunities at all stages of our studies. People put hard work into places like this, and to take credit for something you actually didn’t do is sickening.

What’s worse is that the soup kitchen runs on private donations, and for that reason chooses to remain party-neutral. Because of this incident, the owner is fearful that some of that funding may be cut by opposing parties that think the soup kitchen is in support of the Republican party. In fact, the owner clearly states that he could not afford to take any cuts and remain in operation. So, this little stunt may cost many homeless and less fortunate individuals their only guaranteed meal each day.

Classy, Paul Ryan.
